The ZXP Series 9 is Zebra’s second generation retransfer printer, improving upon the ZXP Series 8 with industry-leading print speeds and optional eco-friendly, waste-free lamination that lowers your cost per card. The ZXP 9 retransfer printer uses patented Color Predictive Technology (CPT) to algorithmically auto-adjust the settings of your printer for optimal print quality. With user-selectable print modes and optional encoding features, the ZXP 9 offers greater user control, flexible operation, and the power to produce securely laminated cards with vivid graphics for any application.

    • Retransfer printing for photographic quality prints
      Print photographic quality cards with fully saturated colors, sharp image resolution, and over-the-edge surface coverage using the Zebra ZXP Series 9. Performing at 300 DPI with dye-based media, the ZXP 9 uses retransfer technology to produce durable printed cards with built-in fraud protection and consistent print quality – from first card to last.

      Due to its advanced retransfer printing technology, the ZXP 9 can print onto a wide variety of cards, including standard PVC, composite, ABS, PET, PET-G, and Teslin composite cards, as well as specialty cards and technology cards (i.e., contact, contactless, and UHF RFID) with uneven surfaces.

      Exclusive to Zebra, the ZXP 9 features patented Color Predictive Technology (CPT) that automatically adapts the settings of your card printer using image processing algorithms designed to optimize print resolution. Plus, the ZXP Series 9 offers two user-selectable print modes: Standard for faster print speeds or Fine Print (which works with CPT) for enhanced image quality.

      Faster than the ZXP Series 8 and its competitors, the Zebra ZXP Series 9 can print up to 190 single-sided or 180 dual-sided full-color cards per hour. And when configured for dual-sided printing with single- or dual-sided lamination and optional encoding, the ZXP 9 makes allows you to print, encode, and laminate dual-sided cards in a single pass. The ZXP 9 also features a single-card feed to accommodate on-demand printing needs.

      The Zebra ZXP 9 makes peak performance accessible and replicable, even for novice ID card printer users. The easy-to-operate ZXP 9 features a 21-character, 6-line LCD operator display, auto-calibration, and easy access to print media. It’s outfitted with a 150-card capacity feed, a 100-card output hopper, and a 15-card reject hopper. Plus, you can reduce operator time by adding an optional additional 150-card input hopper (sold separately) to double your card input capacity.

 

    • Advanced user control & ready access to printer support
      The ZXP 9 features NFC Print Touch (compatible with all Android devices) and QR code link for easy, on-the-spot access to printer info, troubleshooting tips, how-tos, and additional product support. Compared to the ZXP Series 8, the Series 9 boasts an enhanced user interface and utility toolbox for easier-than-ever configuration and operation. Reduce printer downtime and enjoy full control over your ZXP printer functions using these intuitive features. You can even monitor networked printers remotely using Zebra’s optional PrintMonitor (part of the Zebra PrintWare Suite).

 

    • Built-in fraud protection & optional physical locks
      By incorporating a layer of tamper-evident retransfer film into the standard print process rather than printing direct-to-card, the ZXP 9 helps protect your printed cards from duplication and unwanted tampering. For advanced card security, add single-sided or dual-sided lamination to your printer, and for maximum security, laminate your cards with custom a laminate featuring holograms and/or other visual security elements.

      The ZXP Series 9 card printer also offers physical security features, including a Kensington lock slot, optional printer host authentication (password protection), and optional physical locks (for laminator, enclosure, and card feeder).

 

    • Optional dual-sided printing
      Save time and eliminate the potential for mechanical error and card jamming caused by manual card flipping by opting for built-in dual-sided printing.

      Note: dual-sided printing is a prerequisite for adding single-sided or dual-sided lamination to your ZXP 9; the single-sided model is not configurable for lamination.

 

    • Lower cost-per-card with optional waste-free lamination
      The Zebra ZXP Series 9 with lamination uses patented waste-free laminates, an eco-friendly alternative featuring linerless media and a single core with no carrier. Waste-free laminate effectively reduces laminate waste output by 50% while providing up to 30% cost-savings on consumables. Zebra waste-free laminate lowers your cost per card and is available in standard clear or custom (e.g., embedded with hologram or micro-text) to meet advanced security needs.

      Note: Only the dual-sided model is configurable for lamination.

 

    • Optional encoding
      The ZXP 9 card printer offers several card encoding options. To print and encode cards, add the magnetic stripe encoder (AAMVA and ISO 7811; new and pre-encoded; tracks 1,2, and 3; HiCo and LoCo), combined ISO 7816 contact and MIFARE ISO contactless smart card encoder, or ISO contact station for use with third-party smart card encoders.

 

    • Standard Ethernet & USB with optional Wi-Fi connectivity
      The Zebra ZXP Series 9 comes standard with USB and Ethernet for networking your printer(s) across a local area network, and is configurable for secure wireless connectivity. Wi-Fi allows greater networking flexibility and simplifies integration by allowing you to print from an unlimited number of computers from anywhere within your facility.

      The Zebra ZXP 9 wireless option supports 802.11b and 802.11g networks as well as a wide range of security protocols and standards such as Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) and advanced Wi-Fi protected access WPA/WPA2.
